Matts Leiderstam arbetade som drejarlärling vid Rörstrands Porslinsfabrik i Lidköping 1974-1977. Han utbildade sig sedan till bildlärare vid Konstfack i Stockholm 1977-1981 och till konstnär vid Valands konsthögskola i Göteborg 1984-1989. Matts Leiderstam är en svensk konstnär som har sin bas i Stockholm. Han erhöll sin doktorsgrad i fri konst från Konsthögskolan i Malmö 2006, och studerade måleri på Akademin Valand 1984–9. Matts Leiderstam is a Swedish artist based in Stockholm.
